Smuggler es una película japonesa que adapta al manga homónimo, creación de Shohei Manabe. Dirigida por Katsuhito Ishii, nos presenta la historia de un pobre desgraciado que se ve obligado a devolver una deuda a la mafia aceptando los encargos que le ofrecen como transportista de mercancías de dudoso origen junto a dos hombres. Paralelamente nos toparemos con una lucha de bandas en la que conoceremos a dos asesinos a sueldo bastante estrafalarios y muy particulares, y en la que inevitablemente nuestro pobre protagonista se acabará viendo implicado muy a su pesar.Smuggler va combinando géneros en una mezcla bastante peligrosa, que se acaba saldando con muy buen resultado. Tenemos el humor más hilarante, las escenas de acción más llamativas, el drama de superación de su protagonista y un thriller de enfrentamiento de mafias en el que tiene cabida una larga y fuerte escena de tortura que nos pondrá los pelos de punta.
Llegará a los cines japoneses el 22 de octubre de 2011.
